Meet my favorite place in the world: the Overlook trail in Cuyahoga National Forest. Located just a short 0.5 mile walk from a parking lot or a rigorous hike from the river up to the top, finding this place was the best discovery of 2016. The lightly trafficked lookout was my place of peace and quiet in the mornings. It gave me a sense of calmness and clarity that I wish I could visit every day. I’d often go to just sit and relax before a full day or I would use it as a chance to run around and get a little exercise.
Though I have several “favorite” places to go in Ohio, this one will always hold a special place in my heart. It gave me a great chance to think, reflect, and move forward.
