Well, I did it again only this time with writing.
I had been looking up tips and ideas and basically finding any way to put off actually starting to write a book. I came across NaNoWriMo and found my writing solution. I was going to take November and dive in head first, pursuing the crazy idea of writing 50,000 words in 30 days and completely destroying the remnants of what a normal person probably wouldn’t call a social life but was my social life. There is just one problem with this crazy stupid idea.
November is still three months away.
I am very impatient. Like, SUPER impatient.
I wanted to start now. And by now I mean NOW! I am too excited to wait.
So six days ago, I wrote the first words in my pre-NaNoWriMo challenge. My goal is to still complete it in 30 days which means by September 8th, I plan to have completed the minimum 50,000 words that may or may not make any sense but will be the foundation of my first novel.
I love every minute of it. I get excited when I look at my schedule and see a chunk of two or more hours I can spend writing. It was really hard to start but once I got going, man did I get going.
I’ll detail out some of my challenges and successes in future posts but for now, happy writing!
